Founded by the Laraki family in 1998, Doc’archives has established itself as the undisputed leader of the Moroccan records management sector in less than three decades. Led by CEO and fellow shareholder Nabil El Bied, the company now employs 480 people, managing 5 million archive boxes across four conservation centres.
A strategic vision for Africa’s digital transformation
In an interview with strategic partner GDExpert, Nabil El Bied looks back on Doc’archives’ extraordinary journey, from its creation during the Moroccan government’s first drive to modernise its administration to the company’s current pan-African ambition.
Doc’archives is preparing to open the largest records management centre in the MENA region near Casablanca, capable of housing 2 million additional archive boxes with an integrated data centre that complies with international standards.
With subsidiaries already established in Egypt and Tunisia, and projects underway in West Africa, Doc’archives embodies the emergence of Morocco as a technological hub for the African continent.
Triple certification and state-of-the-art technology
With its high-speed digitisation lines, 100% quality control, and ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and soon ISO 22301 certifications, Doc’archives’ stringent approach to records management demonstrates a level of excellence that echoes the high standards of the MOBILITAS Group. It is this meticulousness that enables the company to take on large-scale national projects, such as the digitisation of 70 million pages of Moroccan civil status records.
