A benchmark for the road ahead
Following last year’s preparatory work, the baseline gives MOBILITAS a quantified and verifiable starting point against which to measure its emissions reductions.
Conducted using the Watershed carbon management platform, the assessment covers 103 countries, includes all Group operations, and is based on actual operational data rather than financial estimates.
The result – 124,060 tCO₂e – gives the Group an accurate picture of its carbon footprint for the first time. As expected, given the nature of the Group’s activities, most emissions occur within the value chain, particularly transportation.
Commitment-driven goals
This year’s report also presents MOBILITAS’s Carbon Reduction Plan. Aligned with the Paris Agreement, the plan aims to achieve Net Zero by 2050, and includes interim targets for 2030 aligned with the Science Based Targets Initiative’s Corporate Net-Zero standard.
To realise this goal, the Group is acting on several fronts: electrifying its fleet, increasing solar energy use, improving energy efficiency at its facilities, shipping via more sustainable transport modes, and moving to circular use of packing materials. The report details the progress made on all these initiatives.
Measuring progress
Beyond carbon emissions, the report reflects MOBILITAS’s maturing approach to ESG. Compliance scores across its entities have improved by an average of 10%, the number of training hours delivered has more than doubled year on year, and the proportion of women in managerial roles is now 42%, up from 31% in 2022.
Investments in renewable energy have also begun to bear fruit: after a full year of operation, sites equipped with solar panels are using up to 58% less electricity from the grid.
The report also highlights the 16-year partnership between MOBILITAS and Planète Urgence – which has resulted in the planting of more than 385,000 trees – the strengthening of the Group’s governance framework, and the dozens of initiatives carried out locally by its subsidiaries around the world.
