The MOBILITAS Group celebrated its 50th anniversary during a gala evening at the Théâtre du Merveilleux in Paris on Tuesday 20 May 2025. Held in honour of the staff and partners who have placed their trust in the group over the last five decades, the event marked a joyful highpoint in its history.
“It’s crucial to recognise the work our employees, some of whom are with us here tonight,” said Cedric CASTRO, MOBILITAS CEO. “Thanks to their commitment, we have been able to turn every challenge into an opportunity and ensure the sustainability of our group for future generations.”
Half a century of history and shared values
The event was also an opportunity to look back on the major milestones that have shaped the group’s identity and sketch the contours of its future.
For Alain Taïeb, Chairman of the MOBILITAS Supervisory Board, 50 is the age of maturity. “It means that you’re solid as a business. You can look to the future with more experience, and strength, with new ideas and projects.”
A multi-generational success story
Founded in 1974 by husband-and-wife André and Sarah Taïeb, MOBILITAS established a solid foothold in the French removals sector before expanding into Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Middle East through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
Today, led by the third generation of the Taïeb and Castro families, the group has four main divisions:
- Removals
- Relocation
- Records management
- Heritage conservation, restoration and sharing
These activities are spread across a stable of more than 30 international brands, employing around 4 950 people in more than 100 countries.
Thank you to everyone who, yesterday and today, embodies the MOBILITAS spirit. The adventure continues, together, towards new horizons!
