Mobilitas invests in the start-up Diginove

By investing in the start-up Diginove, the Mobilitas Group reinforces its offer in the field of document processing
and pledges to make this French geospatial data management jewel shine internationally.

Present in the French and international markets for nearly 50 years and already managed by the third generation of the Taïeb and Castro families, the family-owned group Mobilitas reaffirms its commitment to make its physical and electronic records management division a major development axis.

In line with this strategy and a few months after taking control of Pro Archives Systèmes, the group has just acquired a 24% stake in the start-up Diginove.

Based in Provence, the company offers digitisation, image processing and automatic document recognition services through its solution called Dexelia. This cutting-edge high-tech solution offers its customers tailor-made tools and supports them throughout the various stages of their document digitsation projects.

“By investing in Diginove, we have a double objective: to reinforce our service offering in document digitisation and to give global exposure to a French geospatial data management start-up,” explains Cedric Castro, Chief Executive Officer of Mobilitas. The Mobilitas Group is proud to contribute to the development of a French jewel like Diginove, which is positioned in one of the fastest growing industries in France and in the world.”

Creating a French player in satellite imagery

In addition to its historical activities, Diginove is also positioned in satellite imaging applications with its TeleCense project. Its objective is to cross-reference satellite images with demographic data to improve population estimates particularly in emerging countries where censuses are difficult to implement.

TeleCense provides numerous applications ranging from water treatment, electricity networks, real-time mapping of the spread of the coronavirus, industrial site installations, etc. Thanks to data and artificial intelligence, Diginove intends to enable better anticipation of health crises for insurance companies, but also contribute to the development of public health policies.

The arrival of Mobilitas in Diginove’s capital is fantastic news and a wonderful opportunity for us,” said Michel Bénet, Chaiman and founder of Diginove. It was critical to find a partner capable of supporting our two activities, and Mobilitas fits perfectly into this dynamic.”

Mobilitas is banking on Diginove’s international development

The development of the start-up Diginove outside the French borders is a priority. The French jewel is a member of Orange Business Services’ Cloud Starter program and a member of the European Space Agency (ESA) incubator. Within the French start-up ecosystem, Diginove has already distinguished itself by winning the second “Innovation Contest” organised by BPI France.

Diginove’s objective is to increase its turnover by 50% over the period 2021-2022. In 2020, the start-up achieved €395,000 in revenue with a notably high R&D budget.

With a presence in 97 countries worldwide, including the 54 countries of the African continent, Mobilitas will play a key role in Diginove’s international customer acquisition, particularly for TeleCense applications on the African continent.
